Good posture is simple and eloquent by design in form and function. The body is designed to have the head, rib cage, and pelvis perfectly balanced upon one another in both the front and side views. If the posture is deviated from normal, then the spine is also deviated from the normal healthy position. Postural abnormalities can lead to pain and many different injuries. Also if the spine is compromised it can effect your nervous system and how your body is functioning overall.
With our posture program we will perform a detailed posture analysis, and based on your results will recommend certain exercises and treatments to help improve your posture!
Upper and Lower Cross Syndrome
Upper Cross Syndrome is a collection of tight and weak muscles that cause the forward head posture and “slumped” look. This leads to migraine headaches, neck and shoulder pain, breathlessness and tingling into the arms. Lower Cross Syndrome refers to a collection of weak muscles in your pelvis and lower back that can lead to sciatic pain, hip pain, and pelvic dysfunction.
